    We are proud to have taken part in the Refugee Week mini World Cup at Ely Rangers competing against 7 teams. After a penalty shootout victory against Ukraine in the Semi Final we reached the Final. The Final against the Nigerian team also went to penalties and we proudly won the tournament.

    We were honoured to host the legendary Bachtyar Ali in Cardiff. He is one of the most influential contemporary Kurdish Novelists, Poets, and essayists, his presence brought an incredible energy to the Kurds in the city of Cardiff.

Our Mission

At the Kurdish All Wales Association (KAWA), we believe strong communities are built on shared values, active participation, and mutual respect. From our base in Cardiff, we bring Kurdish, Welsh and other communities together through practical support, cultural exchange, and initiatives that strengthen local life.

We focus on helping people gain the skills, confidence, and opportunities to stand on their own feet, contribute to their communities and take pride in being part of Wales. By encouraging responsibility, work ethic, and community spirit, we ensure the Kurdish Community is not just supported, but is a valued and contributing part of a united and prosperous Wales.

Our Programs

In addition to our core mission, KAWA is actively involved in a variety of programs and activities, including community workshops, social outreach programs, collaborative initiatives, and youth empowerment programs. These initiatives are designed to empower and support the Kurdish community and foster a sense of belonging and unity.
